Police Officer Accused of Assaulting Mentally Disabled Girl Gets Four-Day Physical Remand

A Lahore court has granted a further four-day physical remand of a police officer accused of allegedly assaulting a mentally disabled girl in the Ghaziabad area.

The accused, identified as Imran, was presented before the Cantt Kacheri after completing his previous physical remand. Police requested the court to extend his physical remand to further investigate the case.

After hearing the police’s request, the court approved another four-day physical remand of the accused and handed him over to police custody. The court also directed the investigation officer to present a progress report at the next hearing.

The case was registered at Ghaziabad Police Station following the alleged incident. Police are continuing their investigation, while further legal proceedings will take place at the next hearing.
